Hello! I’m Michael and I run The River in beautiful Elora Ontario. Since your still reading I shall tell you a lot about myself. I recently moved from a previous life, to this historic little tourist town with ambition, intellect and coffee beans (organic, fair trade coffee beans of course). Being raised in the suburbs and having gone to school in the city it was obvious that the next move was to experience the small community life. And so the venture began.
I opened the doors to my little 500 square foot shop on Metcalfe St. on May 27th 2007. Right away the buzz was happening. The people of Elora can fully support another food merchant in town and since they are my target market I do whatever I can to keep them happy. Whether it be always having a fresh pot of decaf on the go or just by chatting up the penny candy customers I make sure that the locals are the reason I’m in business.
